Eddie Kislinger is a graduate of Beverly Hills High School, the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in History, and UCLA Law School. While in college he opened Leopold’s Records, Berkeley’s first alternative record store.

He also met his future wife, Cathy Waterman. They married in 1978.
